The Employment Unit of the firm is responsible for mandates relating to employment law. The Employment Unit has a respected labour practice that includes offering advisory services on all matters pertaining to employment law from recruitment, company codes of conduct, internal hearings, arbitrations, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, downsizing, and retrenchments. The Unit has vast litigation experience in the Labour, High, Supreme and Constitutional Courts of Zimbabwe and has instrumental in significant positive changes in labour law in Zimbabwe. A glance of Zimbabwean case law will show that the Unit, led by Selby Hwacha has tackled difficult and novel cases on labour, with ingenuity, tact and a thoroughness which characterizes the team's general approach.
